Our Formosa Assam is a highest quality Black Tea grown in the amazing mountainous climate of Sun-Moon Lake in Central Taiwan. It's a great breakfast tea but smooth and delightful enough for all-day economical luxury. These leaves can be re-steeped many times and our family drinks this delicious tea pretty much every morning!
Notes: Malt, Fruit, Earth and Molasses.
At BTTC, we love to support small family farms and we're happy to have worked with Ms. Lee for many years. Their plots are both very near the lake. The larger garden has been growing Formosa Assam since Japanese colonial times, and in their smaller garden they grow Red Jade black tea and Hong Yun black tea. All outstanding.
They don't use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides but the farm is not certified organic.
