Klea Premium Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

NOTE: For USA customers only

I spent the entire month of June in Greece doing what I love best: visiting farmers, learning about their craft and, of course tasting the fruit of their labor.  As I continue working with tea farmers in Taiwan, I'd like to apply the same dedication to premium olive oil producers in Greece.  Here I'm offering our tea customers (who appreciate the real deal) a special curation from a small family farm in Halkidiki in Northern Greece.

This premium early harvest selection is a mono-cultivar extra virgin olive oil made from unripe olive fruits hand picked from the producer's own olive trees. The green olives then undergo an immediate extraction process within a few hours of harvest and in temperatures below 25°C.  The result is a well-balanced extra virgin olive oil with intense green fruity aromas, low acidity and highly concentrated polyphenols.

It gets better.  It's housed in a very special clay vessel inspired by the "alabastron" used in Greece during their storied ancient times.  The clay protects that "fresh-pressed" taste much longer than glass.  It also has a special spout for easy pouring and can be refilled.  It will look GREAT on your table!

Use this on the daily!  Take a spoonful each day for health and use it at the table on basically anything to make it better.

During first quarter of next year, we'll have a separate site dedicated to olive oils I curate in the field, but I'd like to start here for now. Thank you!

Cultivar: 100% Chondrolia Chalkidkis (the olive type native to Halkidiki)

Harvest: Oct. 2023 (This is an early harvest oil, made before the olives ripen)

Location: South-Central Halkidiki

Acidity: 0.26

Polyphenols: 460 mg/kg

Producer:  The Psathas family

Size: 250ml (8.5 Fl.Oz) That's just over a cup of premium olive oil.  After the fresh harvest in November, we'll offer you a reasonably priced container (500ml) you can use to refill this beautiful clay vessel.  So this one is a little investment.
