Another Face to Farmer™ offering from BTTC. This premium early harvest selection is a mono-cultivar extra virgin olive oil made from unripe olive fruits hand picked from the producer's own olive trees. The green olives then undergo an immediate extraction process within a few hours of harvest and in temperatures below 77°. The result is a well-balanced extra virgin olive oil with intense green fruity aromas, low acidity and highly concentrated polyphenols. Just enough polyphenols to be super healthy but not too many to make it too bitter.
Use this on the daily! Some of our customers like to take a tablespoon a day for the health benefits but personally, I put this oil on everything including salads, soups, breads and even ice cream! My favorite combo is Klea EVOO and red wine vinegar (except on ice cream lol). Use this at the table or in the kitchen to make almost anything better. Klea Early Harvest has a nice creamy mouthfeel with fresh kale overtones and a bit of spicy kick at the end. You also can cook with it but low heat and slow is recommended (due to a low smoke point) and it still retains it's health bolstering properties.
This is packed in an light-tight tin for maximum freshness (500ml). These tins are GREAT for refilling our nice clay bottles in an economical way!
This is an early harvest oil, made before the olives ripen so it's more potent in polyphenols than our other offerings. It even qualifies to legally label it as a substantiated "Health Claim" in Europe.
Cultivar: 100% Chondrolia Chalkidkis (an olive type native to Halkidiki)

Location: South-Central Halkidiki in Greece
Acidity: 0.27 (This is well below the EVOO limit of ≤0.8)
Polyphenols: At 777 mg/Kg, this oil is considered highly therapeutic. Compounds at these levels are what make it a "superfood" rather than just a regular monounsaturated fat. Most supermarket oils are in the 100-200 range.
