We're proud to offer this traditional Indian Assam tea from the Dibrugarh district of upper Assam, about 40 miles outside of the town of Dibrugarh.

This whole-leaf Assam produces a rich, full-bodied amber color beverage with a malty flavor that is somewhat softened by its subtle honey notes. It's fully oxidized, a process which causes the fresh green leaves of the tea plant to turn a deep and delicious brown.  If a little milk and sugar is your thing, this is your tea!

Hand-picked and processed, this is a classic Black Tea.  It's grown organically but has no certification.

NOTE: This tea is potent!  A little goes a long way so be careful not to over steep it.  Too much tea or over steeping will result in bitter tea. Start with 1 tsp tea to 8 oz. boiling water for 4 minutes and adjust from there.

Tip: Go to your local natural grocery store and buy some dried orange peel (or Bergamot, if they have it).  Add some to this tea to make a classic Earl Gray that's out of this world!

Packing: All orders will be packed in single bags according to the size.  For instance, if you order 2 oz., you will get a single 2 oz. bag, if you order 4 oz. you will get a single 4 oz. bag, etc... We can pack larger orders in smaller 2 oz. bags by special request but please let us know!
