Price is for 2 oz.
Creamy with a nice weighty mouth feel, this lot is vintage Taiwan-stored Lao Cha Tou.
On the off-beat side of pu-erh we have a type of ripe (composted) puerh that is made up exclusively of solidified nuggets. As the piles are turned and the heat goes up due to natural forces, some of the leaves stick together. While most of the product is destined for tea cakes, the nuggets are collected and offered on their own.
Brew it like normal ripe puerh in a yixing pot or gaiwan. Heavy steeps bring out an astringency I quite like.
This lot is from the early 2000's. I've been letting it age state-side for a few years now and the humidity is all but gone. Woody top note.
