There is a lot to love about good white teas and this one exibits what we like the most. For me, white teas generally need a few years of age before they start taking on sweeter notes and deeper texture. Quickly approaching the 15 year storage mark, this cake was pressed in Autumn of 2005! We get sweet notes of honey, apricot, citrus and a little plumb from the length of storage. I like this tea a lot, it's smooth and relaxing with a nice taste and I can drink it any time of day or evening.
Although it was pressed into cake form, we are selling it already broken apart for you to drink in our regular 2 oz. bags. Just open it up and you're ready to brew. Try brewing it with hotter water but let it cool down for several minutes before you drink it. Most people drink tea much too hot and lose out on some of what the tea has to offer.
