Another stunning teapot by Mashalu.
This is a hand-made wood-fired tea pot by Taiwanese master Mashalu, whose name means "Thank you" in her native aboriginal home language.
There is no glaze on this pot. It’s 100% color, texture and shine by natural wood-firing. Mashalu successively fires different wood species to give layers of color and texture in an extremely high-heat four-day "ash-fall" process. It's not easy and takes the vigilance of four 24-hour days.
The color and texture don’t really come out in the pictures. Please maximize to get a better idea - although pictures may show slight variation in the actual color.
It's not untrue to say that we searched many years to find just the right partner to deliver BTTC teas in just the right way. Please enjoy.

Shipping cost will be reimbursed within 7 days of receiving. Please only use water to test it. Take your time and see how it pours, how it fits in your hand, how you like it and how it makes you feel. If you choose to brew tea in it, we will not be able to accept your return as this starts the seasoning process which someone else might not appreciate.
