Our Pu-erh Shop

Imperial Palace Ripe, $17.99/2oz.

I love the name of this tea.  It reminds me of an old-school Hong Kong Chop Suey place I used to go to with my parents when I was a kid.  I still remember the taste of those water chestnuts!

This tea is bud-only loose-leaf ripe pu-erh from approximately the year 2005.

The buds of the tea plant, of course, are very limited in number and normally considered the best part of the tea plant to make teas.  Usually they are used for spring green teas but in this case we have an example processed as a ripe pu-erh.

It's got all the hallmarks of what I'm always looking for for my customers (and myself ;)) Good viscosity, oily sheen and it's as smooth as silk.  A little cedar in this one as a top note as well.

Perfect for a single session for yourself or with friends.  I think you'll enjoy this if you are a ripe pu-erh fan.  Give it a shot over some Chop Suey!

2000年代宫廷普洱熟茶 (散茶)

The restaurant pic is a place I found in St. Joseph, MI called Chan's Garden.  It reminds me of that old-school Hong Kong Chop Suey place I mentioned, lol.
