BTTC To Donate 10% of Profits This Holiday Season

Hi Everyone,

The Christmas season is the most profitable time of the year for us and I'm glad to announce that in the Spirit of the season, we will be donating 10% of all profits from Black Friday to Christmas Eve.

The charity we are supporting is HERE  It's a poverty ending organization based in the Philippines called Gawad Kalinga.

Why?

Only a short flight from Taiwan, the Philippines is a land of beautiful beaches, friendly people, wonderful music and, unfortunately, grinding poverty.

My wife, Chia, and I were glad to get the chance to visit the amazing island of Boracay in the Philippines a while back.  On our way, we spent a couple of days in Manila, the capitol city of the Philippines.

We ventured a bit from the tourist area where our hotel was and came across a little girl of maybe four years old begging outside of a restaurant.  She was not clean, it was getting dark.  I looked around for her mother but there were no adults around.  She looked soooo vulnerable and I was deeply moved.  I did what I could at the time but poverty is a terrible thing.  I promised myself that I would do something in the future and that time is now, and probably every year hereafter.

Gawad Kalinga has a hunger fighting arm.  They serve nutritious meals to needy children of the Philippines.  We will be donating to this purpose within their organization.

Thanks for your support this holiday season!

Paul, BTTC
